Reformation Sunday

This is an undated sermon that has “Reformation” written at the top, likely making it a Reformation Sunday sermon. The gospel text is John 8:32. The sermon references that it is a pleasure to be a guest preacher, but it does not indicate where he was a guest. The format of the sermon is an interesting mix of typing and handwriting.

This sermon is from Reformation Sunday in 1993. The gospel text is listed as Romans 3:19-28. There are a few helpful call-outs to sermon note takers. It is likely that I was one of those confirmation students at the time.

This is a typed sermon for Reformation Sunday of 1974. The gospel text is listed as John 8:31-36. It’s one of the only sermons I’ve seen with one of the parts of the sermon scratched out, as if it was preached and then removed. Then again, it’s also the only sermon I’ve seen where he suggests sleeping during the sermon.

With the 500th anniversary of the Reformation coming up, I figured I’d start posting all of the Reformation Sunday sermons that I’ve found so far. This one is from October of 1994.
