Here is a Christmas Day sermon from “Intern Larson” during his internship in 1970! It is handwritten over several small pages. The bulletin from the service is included. A handwritten Christmas prayer is also included.
I’m not sure how many sermons I have found from Ascension Lutheran in Rolling Hills, California, since his next call was also to a church named Ascension. The sermon starts with a reference to Peanuts and goes through an array of references to Biblical characters. The gospel text is from Luke 2. I’m going to guess that the Christmas text was Year B in the Revised Common Lectionary.
