Do You Know Him?

Here is a handwritten Advent sermon from December of 1975. It’s written in black ink with highlights in yellow and marks in red pencil.

The gospel message from John 1 and the notation of “Advent III” correspond this sermon to the third Sunday of Advent in Year B of the Revised Common Lectionary. There’s a story about the pastor of the church of President FDR. There’s also a story about Deborah Kerr and her participation in the 1951 movie Quo Vadis.
